Standard Banners
Standard Banners are the most common programmatic media format for delivery across Desktop and Mobile inventory. Standard Banners are best used for performance campaigns.
Best Practices
Copy
We suggest using as little text as possible to allow your branding and imagery to shine. Keep copy as close to the following suggestions:
- Headline (100 characters)
- Additional copy (100 characters)
If you would like to include more text than suggested, consider animating to break up the content and allow the user to process smaller pieces of information, always ending with the CTA.
CTA
We recommend a CTA with no more than 20 characters and to keep the CTA visible at all times so the user is encouraged to click through.
Imagery
When designing standard banners, vertical sizes should feature vertical photography and tightly cropped imagery, while horizontal sizes should feature wide imagery to best utilize the space. When designing horizontal and vertical sizes with the same imagery for design consistency, it is best to edit the crop on the image to highlight the most important element.
Animation
The recommended animation length is between 3-5 seconds. The longer the animation, the more likely a user will stop paying attention to the ad.
Resize
Our creative team can resize an existing 300×250 standard banner PSD into the remaining standard display sizes needed for campaign success.
